Today we watched a video on the history of the film camera, and answered the following questions as we discussed key points in class:

2. What was the problem with the first images created with the camera obscura?
3. WHOA! Oldest surviving photograph:

4. WHOA! First known photo of a person?
Who? When? What?

5. The glass negative was better than the Daguerrotype because…
6. The Dry plate was important because…
7. How much did the first Kodak Brownie cost?

 8. When did color film really become used?
9. How much did the first DSLR Cost?
10. What year did the first DSLR come out?

Next, we looked at some of the most Iconic Images of all time in the video above.
 WARNING: Some images may be disturbing. Photography is such a powerful medium because it can depict realities that can be jarring and emotionally raw. While watching this video, I encourage you to write down those images you are familiar with, and those that you feel "move" you.
